Salmensuu farm in Sauvo raises organic beef cattle. The number of calver cows is about 160. The mothers themselves take care of their calves in the summer by wandering in the fields and caring for the coastal landscapes. In the winter time cows spend their free time in the yard barn eating home-grown grass fodder. The cattle will evetually become a tasty steak. Good feed gives the meat a good and succulent taste. Meat produced on the farm is sold from the farm’s own shop. Salmensuu farm became an organic farm at the end of a two-year transition period on May 1, 2019.
